Are you up for having a great time?

If so, why not join the Romsey Old Cadets?

You don’t have to be old! You don’t have to be a cadet or ex-cadet either.

You don’t even need to be able to play an instrument!

We are always looking for new members.

Learn to Play

If you can play percussion or brass instruments – great. But if you can’t play a note we would still love you to join.

We can teach you, and help you to learn an instrument. We have many members who could not play any instrument before they joined.

One current member joined never having played a musical instrument and quickly learnt to play the side drum. He then went on to learn the bugle, and is currently teaching himself to play the trumpet.

Reading Music

You don’t have to learn to read music, either.

If you want to learn, we can help you, but as long as you know the tune you can learn to play with our special music sheets as shown here.

You can see how the trumpet valve positions are shown above each note.
